Jason Haugen
President / Partner
Jason is president and partner of PRIMEC Controls, a seasoned professional with 22 years of experience in electrical and automation in the oilfield sector. As an alumnus of North Dakota State College of Science, his extensive knowledge and experience complement each other, making him an invaluable asset in his field.
Following college, Jason worked an 18-year tenure at L&K Electric, which later transformed into Expanse Electric. His contributions were pivotal in setting up the automation division, demonstrating his leadership skills and a strategic understanding of the industry. L&K Electric, located in Williston, ND, greatly benefited from his active involvement and his role as a partner aided in making significant progress. In addition to his partnership at L&K Electric, Jason spent the last five years in a regional management role, overseeing operations across five branches. Jason’s experience as a manager showcases his ability to lead teams, manage resources effectively, and maintain high standards of service delivery.
Jason's pursuit of challenges extends beyond his professional life. He is a licensed commercial pilot, a testament to his tenacity and dedication to mastering new skills. The thrill of flying and its challenge keeps him motivated and fosters a sense of accomplishment.
In his free time, Jason is a dedicated family man who loves to spend time with his wife and three sons. Their shared love for travel and the great outdoors often finds them camping, dirt biking, hiking, and fishing.

Doug Martens
Director / Partner
Doug Martens is a vital part of the PRIMEC Controls LLC team. As a Partner, Doug's extensive business and oilfield knowledge have played a pivotal role in our success. With over three decades of experience, Doug's journey started at Estevan Meter, where he eventually became a Partner in 2000 and then President in 2008.
In 2021, Doug extended his collaboration, forming a partnership with Jason Haugen and Kris Redka in Williston, ND. This strategic alliance paved the way for the inception of PRIMEC Controls, LLC in the United States. Their combined experience, expertise, and shared vision has been instrumental in shaping PRIMEC Controls' identity. Estevan Meters changed its name to PRIMEC Controls Canada in January of 2023, where he remains President.
Doug has had the opportunity to gain M&A experience and was also a board of director for a junior oil and gas exploration & production company. He exemplifies experience, community, and growth and is a driving force at PRIMEC Controls LLC in Williston, North Dakota.
Doug's commitment extends beyond the office. His dedication to community shines as the Chairperson for the Saskatchewan chapter of the Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement and past involvement with building the Moose Creek Golf Club & Regional Park as well as numerous minor sports. He's an avid golfer, enjoys watersports, hockey, snowboarding, snowmobiling and most of all spending time with his family.

Kris Redka
COO / Partner
Kris Redka is a native of Williston, ND, and a driving force as the Chief Operating Officer and Partner at PRIMEC Controls LLC. His oilfield experience and commitment to excellence define his invaluable contributions. With a strong foundation in both management and communication, Kris orchestrates projects to ensure timely completion, keeping safety and customer satisfaction at the top of his list.
His time as a Roustabout/Project Manager at Twin Services from 2018 to 2021, Supervisor for Mon Dak Tank Inc. from 2009 to 2018, and Lease Operator for Dan’s Production from 2002 to 2009 showcases his ability to manage employees, streamline operations, and prioritize safety.
His associate degree in Recreational Engines, combined with industry expertise, underpins his versatile skill set. Kris’s commitment to excellence, leadership, and fostering growth aligns seamlessly with PRIMEC’s values. His influence as COO and Partner continues to shape our success and drive us toward exceptional solutions for our clients!
Aside from his career, Kris' passions extend beyond the realm of oilfields and project management. Kris enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, dirt biking, hiking, and camping. His love for crafting extends to the meticulous art of knife making, a testament to his precision and patience.

Coby Bullington
VP of Operations
Coby is an experienced professional in the oilfield electrical and automation industry, with particular expertise in Sensia's line of VFDs and Pump-Off Controller systems. Graduating from the North Dakota State College of Science in 2011 with a degree in Electrical Technology, he has spent significant time building his knowledge and skillset.
From 2014 to 2017, he received his journeyman electrical license. He took on the manager role at L&K Electric in Williston, North Dakota, contributing significantly to building the UL-listed panel shop from scratch. His involvement ranged from creating designs on ACAD to overseeing full-end production with electrical schematics. Later, Coby became an Electrical Supervisor in 2018, solidifying his practical experience. Before joining the team at PRIMEC Controls, Coby briefly served at Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative as a substation technician, further garnishing his industry expertise.
Coby's journey, thus far, has profoundly influenced his professional development. This cumulative knowledge and proficiency have laid a solid foundation for his impending role as VP of Operations at PRIMEC Controls in Williston, North Dakota.
In addition to his impressive professional accomplishments, Coby is deeply committed to serving his community. He donates his time and energy as a volunteer for the Rural Fire Department, reflecting his dedication to fostering safety and well-being in his local area.
Coby also harbors a passion for the great outdoors, where he enjoys hunting and fishing. This affinity for outdoor adventure is as much a part of his identity as his professional accomplishments, shaping his character and generous spirit.
His upbeat personality and optimism are not just confined to his immediate circle but extend to his work environment and client relationships. Coby is your go-to source of reliable guidance for any inquiries regarding Sensia's oilfield automation and electrical.

Erik Belakjon
Shop / Pressure Relief Manager
Erik was born in Hettinger, ND, and has called Williston home for the past 22 years. Erik brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our team with nearly 17 years in the safety relief valve field. He has navigated several National Board audits, and with a passion for ensuring top-notch customer service.
Erik is our shop manager and VR relief valve program manager. He manages and secures new work in the field and shop while managing PRIMEC's quality assurance program.

Erik is a dedicated family man but also an avid outdoorsman with a deep-seated passion for hunting and fishing. Whether it's shooting skeet, hunting big game, or "failing" at salmon fishing in Montana (Erik's words). Erik's love for the outdoors shines through. He values introducing young enthusiasts to hunting and fishing.
His life is shared with his wife, Lorren, their children, and their lively pack of dogs, including three French bulldogs, an English bulldog, and a Chihuahua. Erik's life is a testament to the joys of outdoor adventures, close-knit family ties, and the significance of faith, friends, and making lasting memories.

Zach Nelson
Chief Business Officer
Zach Nelson as our Chief Business Officer at PRIMEC Controls LLC. With his 13 years of experience as a commercial loan officer at American State Bank, Zach oversees our HR, Safety, Accounting, ISO, and IT policies.

Zach is a native of Williston, and his family farms north of town. He is married to Sarah, and they have 2-year-old twins. We are thrilled to have someone with his background on our team!
